Mojo Monday #209

First Monday in October, Wow. Where has this year gone to already? I'm starting this week off with the Mojo Monday Card Challenge #209. Here is my card.

I've been trying to play with mixing my pattern paper more in my crafting. Not sure if this one is one of my best mixes. Maybe you can let me know what you think. Most of the card is made with BasicGrey® Out of Print 6x6 paper pad. The rosette is made using Martha Stewarts scoreboard and scored at each 1/4". This small rosette seemed easier to make by hand instead of using my Tim Holtz rosette die.

The Mojo Monday sketch is shown below.

Enjoy your week!

Layered Tag

Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. Before it ends, here's a tag that I made yesterday while watching the live broadcast of Laura Denison on Ustream (of a clock). Love her ideas!

As I was trying to get to sleep Thursday night, I had this idea pop into my head. Yep, color scheme and all. Many of my life's problems are solved and ideas are found while trying to get to sleep at night. This is a great advantage sometimes and other times - oh how I wish for an off switch.

Up close view . . . .

Tag size is 6 1/4 x 3 1/8 inches (#8 size). The paper pad used was BoBunny et cetera Collection (love it). Embossed paper at top of tag is a specialty paper from Hobby Lobby I found earlier this year. Foam dots are used between the bottom scallop piece and the black paper above it for a more layered look. Thanks for visiting!

Mojo Monday #208

Hello, happy Monday to everyone. Here's my take on this week's Mojo Monday challenge #208. I love grid patterns so this one is a favorite sketch. The paper pad used here is Curio by BasicGrey® (one of my favorites right now).

Here's the sketch for this week.

I hope this inspires you to give this sketch a try. Happy crafting!

Mojo Monday #207

Here's my take on this weeks sketch by Julee Tilman. Quite a few layers going on here but still a simple and clean look. Here's the sketch . . . .

In my stash of paper pads I found an old one that I had gotten years ago and not used yet. This card is made from the Colorbok Vintage Rose 8" x 8" Punchout Pack. Very nice soft colors pinks, greens and creams.

I have also recently downloaded the InLinkz Link Manager for showing my suppy list. Here is the first use of that program as seen below. So far it seems to be a very nice program. It is currently free for anyone wanting to use it while the program is in beta testing status.

Till next time.

Miss You

While I was making this card, I was chatting on Facebook with my youngest sister Bridget. She is currently on temporary duty for the Air Force in Honduras. Seems like I'm always saying "Miss You" to her since she is always traveling off somewhere or stationed in all parts of the world. So this card will go into her next care package that I'm hoping to get off next week.

I started with some Making Memories Embossed Elegance card stock for the base of the card, then added an additional layer that was punched using the Martha Stewart Garden Trellis deep edge punch. The ribbon is a velvet raspberry red color and is very thick, thus the heavy looking knot. The labels are spellbinders "Labels Four" and the stamps are from Fiskars® "All Year Greetings" collection.

Thanks for visiting!
