Memory Folders with Box

Happy Tuesday everyone! Here's a box I made using ideas from Laura Denison (yet again). Her project "Trunk full of Memories" included this storage box for the files that were in the trunk. While the trunk is absolutely gorgeous, the storage box and files appealed to my sense of organization and space availability much more at this time. So, using Prima's Printery paper and watching her Ustream video, this is the outcome.

Each folder inside allows for either 4 photos or 3 photos and embellishments on the front pertaining to the photos inside. I just love this idea and of course this paper line (as stated in previous posts). The box will hold 5 or 6 folders with photos and embellishments. Each folder has an index tab for names, dates or subject. This would work great for school pictures, parties, vacations or even a very condensed version of "A Year in the Life" type of album. In Laura's version, she added an additional (loose) double sided mat that fits inside each folder. Since the mats are folders, it allows for small memorabilia to be tucked away inside.

If you haven't seen the Ustream class (free) over at Following the Paper Trail, I encourage you to take a few minutes to check it out. I'm currently making the Clock Kit she posted using mostly Tim Holtz products. Having a great time on it and will show you when I'm done.

Till next time . . .

Mojo Monday #211

Here's my card for the Mojo Monday challenge this week. I love this sketch by Julee Tilman. It was one of the easiest cards for me to make in a very long time. The printed papers are from Anna Griffin and as soon as I saw this sketch, these papers popped into my mind. The soft sheer nylon ribbon suits these papers perfectly.

Here's the sketch:

More good stuff for tomorrow. See you then.
